State of Caring report 2019

A snapshot of unpaid care in the UK   Each year, Carers UK carries out a survey of carers to understand the state of caring in the UK. Over 8,000 carers and former carers shared their experience of what it’s like to be a carer. This report provides a snapshot of caring in 2019 by only including the responses from the 7,525 people who are currently providing care. This is the largest State of Caring survey carried out by Carers UK to date.

COVID-19 and Social Mobility Impact Brief #5: Graduate Recruitment and Access to the Workplace

The COVID-19 pandemic has already had a considerable impact on Britain’s job market. Job vacancies have reduced by 65% compared to the same period last year with thousands of jobs already lost and just under a third of businesses planning to cut the size of their workforce in the next three months. The Office for Budget responsibility has predicted that overall unemployment (which stood at 3.9% between March and May this year) could rise to as high as 13% in the wake of the crisis; considerably higher than following the 2008 recession, when it reached a high of 8%....

The Annual Bullying Survey 2019

Great School Libraries Survey Findings and Update on Phase 1

The Great School Libraries (GSL) campaign is a three-year campaign launched in September 2018 spearheaded by CILIP (the library and information association), the School Library Association (SLA) and CILIP’s School Libraries Group (CILIPSLG) and sponsored by Peters.   The campaign seeks to engage with stakeholders at all levels including school library workers, parents, teaching staff, senior leadership and decision makers. Wellcome Global Monitor – How does the world feel about science and health?

Wellcome Global Monitor is the first study of public attitudes to science and health on a global scale, conducting nationally representative surveys of people aged 15 years or older in over 140 countries. We spoke directly to over 140,000 people around the world.
